bad service

Had high hopes for this place, but the waitstaff ruined it. The 1st waiter went to clean off our table, then never came back to get us, he decided to sit across the room and stare at us looking at him with some confusion. After a minute he tells another waitress to seat us. Another waitress asks for our order, we say water and give us a few minutes to decide. 1 minute later another waitress asks us if we are ready (which is nice) but we say no and another waitress was already waiting on us and getting water....still waiting for 5 minutes. A 3rd waitress asks us if we have been helped and we should of ordered but where holding out for #1 waitress for some reason (our fault there), wait another 5 minutes still no water and the original waitress comes back and empty handed and confused as to why we hadn't ordered. What?! Finally ordered our food, another waitress brought back just 1 water not 2, and yet another waitress brought our food. Fish and chips good, salad was alright. I had to walk up to the bar to get a refill on the water. Asked another random waitress for our bill b/c who knows where the first one went! As soon as the waitstaff knows whats going on then this looks like a fun place but our first impression was not a good one.
- Pros: great view, good beer and tour
- Cons: waitstaff
Great beer and food too!

We went on one of the free tours, which was great - the perfect length. Then we went to the pub and had an awesome beer sampler (only $6 for 24+ ounces of beer!). We sat and looked out onto the river, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was really fun and lively. The food we had was surprisingly good - much better than the food at Deschutes or McMinnamins. It seemed really fresh and not too heavy or greasy. Great experience overall!
- Pros: Location, beer, ambiance
- Cons: ?
Best beer in the gorge

Local brewery rocks! I head straight here after spending the day on the river. Food's spendy, but that's the way it is except for fast food.
Take in views of the brewing operation and windsurfing action on the river while sipping suds.

In Short
Fresh from a day on the mountain or the river, outdoor enthusiasts sporting fleece vests and hiking boots rest their weary bodies and quench their thirst. Stories of fresh powder and wilderness adventures fill the air as pints of Amber Ale, IPA and Imperial Porter flow from the taps. There's also a snack menu to help take the edge off--plus free pretzels and Goldfish.
Good Local Suds!

If you like to sample the local suds, this is a good place to do so!
