In Short – Groups of thirsty locals and curious visitors climb the steps to this brewpub and restaurant, which overlooks all of Hood River. Inside, the billiards room is the perfect place to take a rest. The beverage of choice, Big Horse's microbrewed beer, is made in the building's stone cellar. The lunch and dinner fare is an improvement on typical pub food: beyond salads and burgers, the menu offers Thai, Mexican and Carribean-influenced dishes.

I have eaten here about a half dozen times over the last 3 years and every time it has been great. It is one of my favorite places to go. Keep it up!

The beer is very much improved (read: awesome now) with current brewer, and they offer a great Happy Hour and games.

I always go for the seasonals because the regular beers are great now, but the seasonals are ones you don't find at the other pubs as often...Schwarzbier, Rye, etc. Plus, their Growlers to go are still oly 12 bucks! Be careful there are a lot of stairs if you are coming from the downtown area. If you don't like stairs you can drive to a block further up on the hill and walk in to the bar level directly.

Worst Meal & Food We've Had In Years

We are in Hood River for 2 weeks this summer and have been trying eat at as many establishments as possible. We went to Horse Feathers because the exterior of the building is great and it has a great view of the Gorge. These pluses are not worth the horrible service and even worse food we got had. Our meal was also extremely expensive considering 2 of our group ate off of the kids menu. After we waited to be helped for almost 20 minutes the waitress forgot our drinks, ignored us when we were looking for help and then delivered us our bad, overcooked burgers nearly 50 minutes later. This meal and experience has made our top 10 worst dinners of all time list. There are so many great placed to eat in Hood River, avoid wasting a meal (and your patience) on this place!
