Food quality has changed.
I was in Hood River recently, was really looking forward to dining at Celilo again. Unfortunately the food quality has really lessened from a year ago.
I ordered the Tagliatelle w/Lamb Bolognese, virtually the same dish I ordered a year or so ago (bolognese is the obvious menu text difference). Last time I had the dish it was sumptuous, large, thick house made noodles, with a lamb that was almost stew-like with its plentiful mix of shredded lamb and flavors . This most recent experience was thin tasteless tagliatelle, as the menu states bolognese, a mere ground lamb with nothing else. I was frankly shocked by the difference in the same dish. My guest ordered the Wild Mushroom al Ceppo pasta., also a disappointment. My guest requested more parmesan from the server and had to continual salt the dish to add flavor. I cannot express through text the shocking disappointment I had from eating one of the best dishes I have ever eaten (went 2 nights in a row, it was that good) to such a flavorless, lesser quality dish.

Great happy hour.
Really worth a trip to Hood River! One of the best value happy hours I have experienced. The bar menu is half price during happy hour and the food was excellent. I had a fromage platter that came with house-made crackers that were phenominal. Our server was attentive and suggested a wonderful wine with our meal. I'm really happy to have found this gem and I'll definitely be bringing out of town guests to this charming place!
